研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，給豬喂食強化了Ω-3的飼料能增強豬體內(nèi)肌肉的合成，這是由于與肌肉合成相關(guān)的信號因子IGF-1和胰島素受體的基因表達得到了增強，該研究證實了強化Ω-3飼料喂養(yǎng)與豬生長之間的關(guān)聯(lián)。[1]
以母豬為對象的研究顯示，飼料中加入裂殖壺藻粉顯著提高了豬肉中DHA的含量。
更一般性的研究顯示，喂食富含Ω-3的飼料可以顯著改變豬脂肪組織和瘦肉中的脂肪酸組成。
除了肉質(zhì)，實驗還發(fā)現(xiàn)喂食裂殖壺藻粉可以增強豬的免疫力。[2]
